Venture negotiates four new DestinationXL leases

VENTURE COMMERCIAL COMPLETES FOUR LEASES FOR DESTINATIONXL™

X Team International, an international alliance of retail real estate advisors with expertise in more than 45 major markets throughout the U.S. and Canada, announced that partner Venture Commercial Real Estate, a leader in retail brokerage services, has successfully negotiated four leases on behalf of DestinationXL™, the nation’s premier one-stop shop for men’s clothing, over the course of the last six months. Venture Commercial Real Estate Partner John Zikos made the announcement. 

The 9,059-square-foot Dallas store is located at the southeast corner of North Central Expressway and Park Lane in the Shops at Park Lane, and will represent the first urban Dallas location for the retailer. The Arlington, Texas location, which is 5,970 square feet, is located at 4245 South Cooper Street. The 6,800-square-foot Midland, Texas location is located at 2810 W. Loop 250 North in The Commons at Northpark II. The Tulsa, Oklahoma store, also 6,800 square feet in size, is located at 7020 South Memorial Drive. 

Venture’s John Zikos and Jonathan Cooper represented the tenant in the four transactions, and the landlords were represented by Ashley O’Malley and Jack Beard of United Commercial Realty; Mihir Mody of Mody Capital, LLC; Gary Andrews of GRACO Real Estate Development, and Matt Mardis of Paine & Associates, respectively. 

“The DestinationXL™ retail concept from the Casual Male Retail Store, LLC brand has done very well since entering the Dallas market in 2011,” said Zikos. “We’re proud to help spearhead their continued expansion in our region, and we’re confident that the retailer will continue to thrive in these markets.” 

The Tulsa store opened in October. The Arlington location is scheduled for a February opening, Midland is scheduled to open in March and the Dallas store is slated to open in May.
