Venture Commercial completes sale of two Burlington Coat Factory buildings
Venture Commercial Real Estate announced it has completed two transactions in Richardson and Waco, Texas, involving the sale of buildings currently occupied by Burlington Coat Factory. When combined, the properties represent more than 150,000 square feet of retail space.
The Richardson property is a 74,091 square-foot building on 6.7 acres, located at 300 South Plano Road, near the southwest corner of S. Plano and E. Belt Line Road. The Waco property is a 76,316 square-foot building on 5.4 acres, located at 5050 W. Waco Drive.
John Zikos and Christopher M. Gibbons of Venture represented the seller, MDS Texas Realty in the transactions, closing out a portfolio of four investment property sales for this client. David Tran of California-based Transmercial Commercial Real Estate Investments represented the buyer of the Richardson property, while El Paso-based MIMCO Inc. self-represented in the Waco property purchase.
“The properties in Richardson and Waco hold tremendous potential for future growth and development,” Zikos said. “It was a pleasure to have been able to leverage our expertise in the Texas real estate market to negotiate a favorable deal for both buyer and seller.”
Zikos and Gibbons, along with Jonathan Cooper and Don Miller, are part of Venture’s investment property sales team. Together they have sold more than $225 million in income-producing assets for clients over the past four years.
