Dave and Buster's plans to develop a 35,000-square-foot flagship restaurant on the 5.4-acre tract of land at 9450 N. Central Expressway, where a vacant AMC Theatre sits.

The theater will be demolished to make way for the project.

Dave and Buster's I LP bought the land from YPI Central Expressway Properties LP for an undisclosed sum.

The infill site drew unprecedented attention from retailers, developers and investors and took three years to complete, said Sharon Friedberg, senior vice president of Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services.

Friedberg and and Melanie Hughes of Bradford Commercial represented the seller. Dave and Buster's was represented by Larry Leon and Jonathan Cooper of Dallas-based Venture Commercial Real Estate.

The restaurant company said it plans to demolish the theater, with construction scheduled within the next nine months.

Dave and Buster's new flagship restaurant plans to expand its games and menu at the new site. It will vacate its 8201 Walnut Hill Lane location when the new building is finished.
