Venture Commercial Partner Larry Leon wrote the DFW version of the book on retail tenant brokerage services. In 1984, Larry founded Leon & Associates, the first firm to specialize in tenant representation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. With more than 30 years experience under his belt, Larry is an expert at identifying winning sites. “Going beyond the obvious to find the perfect location for a client—that’s fun for me,” says Larry.

Larry began his commercial real estate career at Henry S. Miller where he was an Assistant Vice President. He later joined the real estate department of a national women’s apparel chain where he honed the skills that would later help him excel as a tenant rep. Several years after founding Leon & Associates, he merged the firm with United Commercial Realty and became a partner. He joined Venture Commercial in 2004. During Larry’s lengthy career, he has represented national retailers Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Home Depot, Ross, Whole Foods, Jared Jewelry and Applebee’s as well as regional companies Whole Earth Provision and Run On!

Larry is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Renaissance Weekend and The Nasher Sculpture Center. He is a board member of Social Venture Network and a past board member of Young Audiences of Greater Dallas and Dancers Unlimited. Leon graduated with honors from the University of Texas where he earned a B.B.A. in Honor’s Business and a M.B.A. in Management and International Finance.
